Will Saks Global Chapter 11 Put Manufacturers at Risk?

Saks Global filed for Chapter 11 on January 14, 2026, and taking a look at the suppliers the Saks group can represent a very large share of sales for some designers (reported as 50%+ in some cases), which is why receivables shortfalls can be existential for smaller labels.

That’s super scary for nearly all the brands selling within the Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman, plus off-price stores like Saks OFF 5TH.
