The eMarketing Association gained quick approval as a Silver Partner of FirstGov, shortly after the initial website launch in Sept 2000. The following message welcomes visitors to the FirstGov site:

"Welcome to FirstGov — the first-ever government website to provide the public with easy, one-stop access to all online U.S. Federal Government resources. This cutting-edge site gives the American people the "Information Age" government they deserve. By using the wonders of information technology to bring government closer to the American people, we can expand the reach of democracy and make government more responsive to citizens.

FirstGov allows users to browse a wealth of information — everything from researching at the Library of Congress to tracking a NASA mission. It also enables users to conduct important business online — such as applying for student loans, tracking Social Security benefits, comparing Medicare options and even administering government grants and contracts. This monumental breakthrough in one-stop shopping for government services will help Americans across the country and around the world find the information and resources they need at a click of a mouse — quickly and easily.

The Vice President and I hope you enjoy your visit to FirstGov — and please don't forget to bookmark the site for all of your future visits.

President George W. Bush"
