April
30, 2001 (Atlanta, GA) - Furthering its position as a leader in online
recruiting for the sales and marketing industries, Headhunter.net
(NASDAQ:HHNT), a leading national online recruiting and job awareness
site, announced today co-branding partnerships with four sales and
marketing web sites. Through the partnerships, Headhunter.net will
provide direct access to its full menu of career services to users
of the eMarketing Association (eMA), a professional association for
companies involved in e-marketing, Marketing Sherpa, an online news
source for marketers, SalesVault.com, a portal for sales professionals,
and RepResources.com, a resource center for sales professionals.
According
to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, sales related jobs are expected
to grow 15% by 2008, from 15,826,000 jobs in 1998 to an estimated
18,224,000. Additionally, a recent study conducted by a division of
Management Recruiters International suggests that the demand for sales
and marketing executives is high and the supply is running out. Headhunter.net's
outreach to sales specific sites demonstrates its commitment to providing
the industry with the most comprehensive career tools on the web.
"These
increases are definitely in line with what we're seeing. In the past
month, job postings on Headhunter.net in sales and marketing increased
by 25%," said Matt Ferguson, Senior Vice President of Business
Development for Headhunter.net. "The increased demand for quality
sales and marketing professionals is a contributing factor to the
changes we've seen in online recruiting. Where just a few years ago
online recruiting focused on high tech jobs, today companies are using
Headhunter.net for sales and marketing and other more traditional
jobs."
By powering
online career divisions for eMA, Marketing Sherpa, SalesVault.com,
and RepResources.com, Headhunter.net will be providing a direct channel
to recruitment tools such as job posting and editing, real-time application
tracking, and a database of more than one million resumes. Additionally,
visitors to the sites will be able to manage their own job search
by posting their resume and taking advantage of other job seeker tools
like Headhunter.net's job search informant and resume manager while
searching over 250,000 jobs.
