Susan Bratton’s 22 years of experience in marketing and sales dovetails perfectly with Mailblocks’ strategy to leverage the best that technology offers on behalf of the consumer market. Most recently, Ms. Bratton founded her second rep firm, Cendara, Inc., with a hand-picked, thoughtful roster of next generation companies that offer better “marketing mousetraps” for her power-rolodex of customers in the high-tech, consumer goods, retail, finance, automotive and telecommunications industries.

Prior to Cendara, Ms. Bratton was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Excite@Home’s media business, in charge of PR, marketing and the advertising sales organization. This was the most recent position in her six-year career with the company where she was fortunate to manage the team that invented broadband online advertising. Prior to Excite@Home she was an independent publisher’s representative, having founded her own company and first rep firm, Media Associates, in 1988.

Susan Bratton currently serves on the advisory board of Effective Brands and has held board and advisory board positions with Enliven, Inc, Unicast, DeltaClick and the ADTECH series of professional conferences. She has been the Chair of ADTECH since 2002. Ms. Bratton provided five years of industry leadership on the Board of the Internet Advertising Bureau, www.iab.net, which brings standards and leadership to the online media market, including one election as Vice Chairman. Additionally, she is recognized by Advertising Age magazine as a “Digital Media Master” – one of the top 25 most influential professionals in the online media space.


Kevin Dodson

Kevin Dodson is the Director of Solutions for SBI and Company. He has worked to help both Fortune 500 companies and Internet pure-plays maximize their marketing impact through the integration and measurement of both online and offline communications. He has helped clients such as AT&T Wireless, Symantec, adidas, Dr Pepper, Samsung, Visa, Northwest Airlines, Microsoft, Reckitt-Benckiser (consumer brands including: Electrosal, JetDry, and Finish Detergent), Woman's Financial Network, Buildstream.com, and Renesas (Hitachi and Mitsubishi Semiconductor) use the emerging capabilities of the Internet to track, analyze, and optimize innovative marketing programs.

Prior to working for SBI and Company, Kevin was a founder and Vice President of Marketing for an ecommerce start up in the sports retail market and a founder and Vice President of Business Development for an online home improvement etailer. He has also worked as a consultant for Deloitte Consulting where he worked with companies such as Pacificorp, MAPCO (Mid Atlantic Pipeline Company), Idaho Power, and AT&T on a variety of strategic, operational, and technology projects. Kevin holds a BS from The United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business.

 


Robert Fleming

As president and chief executive officer of the e-Marketing Association (eMA), Mr. Fleming guides the association's efforts in education, professional development, certification and legislation for individuals and companies engaged in e-marketing.

Mr. Fleming helped co-found the eMarketing Association in 1999. Before joining the eMA Mr. Fleming was Vice President of Business Development for the California Manufacturing Technology Center (CMTC). CMTC is a program of the United States Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), designed to help U.S manufacturers become more productive and efficient. There are 80 centers throughout the United States. He was instrumental in the development of marketing programs at the national, regional and state level. Additionally, he developed the first center performance review based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program. Mr. Fleming worked at CMTC from 1996 to 1999.

From 1992 to 1996 Mr. Fleming was president of Stock Editions, Inc., the worlds largest subscription stock graphics firm. He was responsible for developing the first royalty free photography service and the first stock photography to be offered on CD-ROM. Mr. Fleming Worked at Optical Radiation Corporation from 1983 to 1992. He designed, developed and implemented the successful introduction of LiteStyle ophthalmic lenses, Flexeon intraocular lenses, RxPediter computer for medical use as well as many other industrial medical and scientific products. In 1990 he directed the successful launch of Cinema Digital Sound. This was the first digital sound system for motion pictures that debuted in the movie Dick Tracy. Technology from this system is used today within the motion picture industry.

Mr. Fleming has held senior management positions with the American Cancer Society, Adtech, Inc. and The Standard Oil Company. He has received over 45 awards for marketing and communications including 3 American Advertising Federation ADDY awards. His work is on permanent exhibit at the United States Library of Congress Collection of excellent Corporate Communications. He attended Northeastern University in Boston. Mr. Fleming has held numerous seminars on marketing and has been published in a variety of national and regional publications.


S. Murray Gaylord

As vice president of brand marketing at Yahoo! Inc., Murray Gaylord is focused on continuing to build and enhance Yahoo!'s global brand. Among the teams that Gaylord leads are the creative department, trade and broadcast services marketing and community relations. A veteran of the advertising industry, Gaylord joined Yahoo! in March 2000 to develop and lead Yahoo!'s initiative to form comprehensive relationships with advertising agencies and represent Yahoo! in the advertising community. As part of this role, Gaylord has played a major role in the advertising industry's effort to create new standards, guidelines and terms and conditions for online advertising. Gaylord has also given presentations and participated in panel discussions at a variety of industry events, including Jupiter Online Advertising Forum and @d:tech, in addition to chairing the 2001 ARF annual conference.

Gaylord's lengthy advertising career began at Young & Rubicam in account management and he ultimately was named VP managing director of concepts, Y&R's new product and strategic planning "think tank". He then spent ten years as executive vice president, group account director at Scali, McCabe, Sloves Advertising (today part of Lowe Lintas). At Scali, he ran the worldwide advertising business for Hertz Rent a Car and Chase Manhattan Bank. In 1989, Gaylord left Scali to join TBWA Advertising (now TBWA Chiat/Day) where he worked as executive vice president, director of client services, overseeing accounts such as Absolut Vodka, Evian, Motorola, Club Med and others.

Gaylord currently serves on the board of directors of the American Advertising Federation, the Advertising Research Foundation, the Advertising Educational Foundation, and he is a founding member of the eMarketing Association advisory board. He was also a member of the steering committee for Future of Advertising Stakeholders (FAST), a broad-based industry coalition dedicated to accelerating the development of digital marketing and its integration into the mainstream marketing mix. He also serves on the board of directors for the National Crime Prevention Council.

Prior to joining Yahoo! Gaylord was executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Advertising Council, the nations leading provider of public service messages, including Smokey Bear, "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Drunk" and "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste" for the United Negro College Fund. During his three years at the Ad Council, Gaylord spearheaded a major re-engineering of the organization and paved the way for new media partnerships, cause marketing partnerships, and new direct marketing models. Gaylord holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles.


Kent Kappen

Kent Kappen, currently manager of Public Relations for the Real Time Business Unit at Microsoft, has been Marketing hardware, software and service products in the technology arena and specifically on the education and customer referenceability of those products for over a decade.

In that time he has driven current and potential customer education, adoption and industry analyst programs aimed at helping understand customer needs and delivering necessary information to promote and educate within their organizations.

Currently, Kent is working with the Microsoft Real Time Business unit and has been delivering award winning programs for the Live Meeting Web conferencing and virtual Collaboration Service (formerly called PlaceWare) for two years now.

Previously, Kent has driven programs for HR Management System Vendor Icarian (Now WorkStream), and Epson within their Flat bed scanner and digital camera division.


Felix Lin

Felix Lin is CEO and co-founder of Qurb, Inc., provider of award-winning anti-spam solutions for individuals and corporations. Since founding Qurb in 2002, CEO Felix Lin is now considered a leading expert on anti-spam technology approaches and e-mail. In 1997, Felix Lin co-founded AvantGo, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO), where he served as CEO and chairman of the board, and then as vice chairman, continuing to influence the direction of the business through its IPO and subsequent acquisition by Sybase in late 2002. Prior to founding AvantGo, Felix was director of Internet strategy for Versant Object Technology. Before that, he served as database product marketing manager at NeXT Computer, Inc. and product manager at Cadre Technology (now Sterling Software). Felix began his career as a principal consultant and consulting manager for Oracle Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Denis Rice, a founding member of Howard Rice, practices in a broad range of legal areas and has been listed in "Best Lawyers in America," as a corporate lawyer, business litigator and, most recently, as a cyberlawyer. His experience includes corporate and securities matters, Internet and E-commerce law, including startups, venture capital, securities and intellectual property issues, financial institutions, complex litigation, dispute resolution, nanotechnology legal issues, and international transactions. Mr. Rice has litigated complex cases (including class actions) in state and federal courts in California and other states involving securities fraud, corporate governance, proxy contests, antitrust, trademarks, and trade secrets. He has served as special counsel to corporate boards and federal agencies on corporate governance and securities issues.

His representative clients include Chase H& Q, General Motors Corp, H& Q Asia Pacific Ltd., Wells Fargo Bank, e-Companies Venture Group, S.F. Sentry Financial Group, Bank of Guam, Gensler & Associates, Sharp Electronics Corp, Sanctum, Ltd, and Granite Ventures LLC.

Rick Szatkowski

Rick is a senior member of the FindWhat.com Corporate Development team. In this role, he leads efforts aimed at expanding FindWhat.com's solution offerings and market penetration through strategic partnerships and merger/acquisition opportunities.

Prior to Findwhat.com, he co-founded and led Alluna Group, Inc., a consulting firm focused on helping small and midsized companies maximize the value of their assets in the marketplace. Previously, Rick served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Applications Services division of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc., a public company. There he was in charge of strategic partnership, marketing, sales and operations for the company's web linking infrastructure and comparative shopping portal. His prior professional experience includes President & CEO of Fischer International Systems Corporation where he led the company's e-commerce strategy and implementation.

Previously he served as Senior Vice President of Product Solutions for ALLTEL where he founded and led the software products group in the company's telecom division.

He also has served as Senior Vice President, Engineering/Product Development and Vice President of Engineering for Checkmate Electronics, Inc. and as Vice President and various Director positions for Attachmate Corporation, Chromatics, and Wescom. Rick did undergraduate work in Business Administration & Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois, College of DuPage, and Roger Williams College. He received his M.B.A. from Georgia State University.


Neil Versen

Prior to joining AvantGo, Neil was executive vice president at AdSmart Corporation. Before that, he held the positions of associate publisher and vice president of sales and marketing at IDG. Neil is currently a member of the Mobile Marketing Association Global Board of Directors.
