He recently joined the research-driven consulting firm after 10 years of leading online marketing efforts for three of the largest and most well-known brands – Penn State, AT&T and AAA.
Prior to joining Fong Strategy, Tut directed marketing strategy and improved online customer acquisition, retention and penetration for AAA across the Carolinas. He streamlined the customer experience and implemented a more strategic, customer-centric approach to e-mail and site content, resulting in a 17-percent increase in online revenue for the second half of 2009. At AT&T, Tut was one of the first ten people hired as search-engine marketing managers (SEMs) for the largest communications company in the world. Tut provided SEM and SEO consulting to hundreds of AT&T clients across the southeast and built effective online marketing campaigns. In 2008, the SEM team eclipsed its stretch goal of $20MM in annual pay-per-click revenues by more than $10MM.
Tut created and implemented the marketing launch strategy for 19 online education programs and directed almost 40 different distance-education programs for Penn State World Campus. He also led the marketing of the University's online-education initiative for military students.
