Eric Best is a veteran entrepreneur and experienced manager of strategy, people, and process. Founding MindCorps in 1996, Best created a profitable, high-growth software consultancy that served the Internet and Fortune 500 markets before its acquisition by Amazon.com. Joining Amazon.com, Best managed business development for the Amazon.com Commerce Network, working on the deal team for Amazon's first major brick-and-mortar partnership with Toys R’ Us. Best founded the software product firm Emercis Corporation in 1998 to provide e-commerce infrastructure tools to enterprise businesses. Emercis was acquired by Impressa, Inc. in 2000. Serving as Director of Ubarter.com, Best helped facilitate the sale of the business to Network Commerce in 2000 for $45 million. Best is currently Chairman and CEO of Mercent Corporation. In addition, he serves as chair of Seattle-based Morse Best Innovation, a technical marketing agency serving clients such as Microsoft, Lexmark, and WRQ, and as director of Bellevue-based ITEX, a technology company that provides a business-to-business payment system for non-cash transactions. Best is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and a member of the SPU Entrepreneurial Studies Council and Society of Fellows.


Scott J. Cleversey

An nine-year veteran of Molecular, Scott J. Cleversey, Vice President, is responsible for overseeing strategic business development activities, which engage new customers and expand Molecular's service into new markets. His team focuses on working with Fortune 500 clients, directly and through strategic relationships. Through Scott's extensive ebusiness experience and strategic savvy, he has led countless clients to achieving their goals to improve their online channel results and better customer relationships. Cleversey is also responsible for efforts focused on strategic partnerships and services. Prior to his current role, Scott directed sales management, holding a series of leadership positions in this area, as well as playing a key role in solutions development activities. Since joining Molecular in 1997, Cleversey has worked directly with Hewlett Packard, UPS, PerkinElmer, Philips, Yankee Candle, Burton, and Rentokil Initial.

Prior to his tenure with Molecular, Cleversey worked at Panasonic, a leading international consumer goods firm. Here he managed key client relationships, customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and research and development for his team. In addition, Scott has also worked in engineering, design and reliability as an application engineer at United Technologies, Carrier Corporation.

Cleversey holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University.


Kevin Lee

Kevin Lee is co-founder and chief executive officer of Did-it.com. Did-it.com's proprietary Maestro system and advanced customized strategies allow clients to optimize the performance of their paid placement and paid inclusion search marketing campaigns. Kevin and the Did-it.com team have been dedicated to helping search marketers succeed since 1996. Kevin is a founding board member of SEMPO, serves on the SEM Council for the Association for Interactive Marketing, the IAB Search Committee, and writes a weekly column for ClickZ on "Paid Search Strategies". An acknowledged expert on SEO and SEM, Kevin is regularly quoted by the major news media including the Wall St. Journal, Business Week, CNET, San Jose Mercury News, DMNEWS and Catalog Age. He is also a frequent and well-respected speaker invited to top industry conferences. Kevin enjoys sharing search marketing tips, tricks and strategies in print and in person. He earned an MBA from Yale School of Management in 1992.


Matt Poepsel

Matthew Poepsel is the head of the Application Management practice, directing the company’s Professional Services offerings. In addition, Matthew coordinates the company’s Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Development contributions.

Since joining Gomez in 1999 he has also served as Director of Product Management and Business Development functions. Prior to Gomez, Matthew served in the US Marine Corps for six years as an Arabic linguist.

Matthew holds both an MBA and a MS in Management Information Systems from Boston University.


Kate Whalen

As Director of Communications for HP's Services Consulting and Integration business unit, Kate Whalen is responsible for the strategic direction of the division's worldwide business communications initiatives, including analyst and public relations; development of new media tools; web, events, and collateral activity; and employee and executive relations. Ms. Whalen leads a team of 12 professionals who create content and communication tools such as Podcasts, interactive webcasts, streaming video, and virtual classroom activities.

 
Ms. Whalen joined Hewlett-Packard with its acquisition of Compaq Computer Corporation, where she served as Creative Programs and Employee Communications Manager for Services Transformation. Previously she held various management positions within the Media Communications Group at Digital Equipment Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Compaq. She was also co-founder and principal of Liberty Business Communication; Writing Resource Manager for Quantic Communications; and Vice President of Client Services at Windsor International Communications. Kate Whalen is a graduate of Castleton State College in Vermont.


Jeff Wilbur

Mr. Wilbur manages the overall marketing effort for ICONIX. Prior to joining ICONIX, he worked extensively with other members of the team at Intel, Picazo Communications, NetWorth, Network Resources, Compaq Computer, Mirus Corporation, and Sytek. He brings a varied marketing and management background, with a heavy emphasis on bringing innovative products to new markets.

Mr. Wilbur also has a technical background, with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Mark came to Prospectiv from WiredEmpire, an ECRM software company that was spun off from CMGI in March 1998. Mark has over 10 years experience in database marketing and integrated marketing communications. Prior to joining CMGI, he was vice president of sales and marketing for TPC, a database marketing firm spun off from a leading advertising agency in Boston. Mark has played a major role in designing and delivering strategic database marketing solutions for companies such as General Motors, Parametric Technologies, Data General, Polaroid and Digital.
