Paul Armstrong, Ph.D.

Paul has over 20 years of business experience working at a variety of public and pre-IPO companies. His primary expertise is in helping companies market for profit through the development of business, market and channel strategies.

Paul has delivered products for the biomedical, education, CASE, AI, database, EAI, AEC/Mapping, document management, digital video, CRM, call center and telephony markets.

Paul received his Ph.D. in Biology from Kent State University, started in bioengineering and bioinformatics and later moved to computer and telecommunications marketing and business development.


Gill Brown

Overture

As Overture’s Northwest Sales Director, Gill Brown is responsible for developing new business relationships as well as managing Overture’s current relationships with major advertisers and advertising agencies in the Northwestern region of the United States as well as Western Canada. Before joining Overture in December 2000, Gill was Director of Sales for former streaming music webcaster, WWW.COM, where he managed the Western United States territory. Prior to WWW.COM, Gill was Director of Sales for Deja.com and was responsible for integrated sponsorship and banner sales for the Northwestern United States.

Gill holds a B.A. in Radio and Television Communication, Emphasis on Business Aspects, from San Francisco State University, and is based in San Francisco.

Elizabeth Cholawsky is responsible for directing Commission Junction’s products and services strategy to be market driven and customer focused,and for leading the company's marketing and branding initiatives. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Cholawsky served as Vice President of Marketing at Clarent Corporation where she established the product strategy, introducing five new product lines and consolidating brand and market leadership in IP softswitch products. Dr. Cholawsky has more than 20 years of leadership experience in all facets of high technology, including marketing, technical services, customer relations, and product development and management and has held senior management positions at companies including Voice Processing Corporation, Connected Systems, !hey Inc., and Digital Sound Corporation. Dr. Cholawsky graduated with honors in Government and Statistics from Franklin and Marshall College, Pennsylvania and holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and Political Science from the University of Minnesota.

Michael Gorman joined Digital Impact in 2004 to lead the companys expansion into search marketing. Previous endeavors have included helping to build several successful businesses, including Mitchell Madison Group, a global professional services company, where he led a division serving the media and communications industries, and ESPN, where as Senior Vice President he pioneered new technologies for managing advertising inventory. He was also a Vice President at A.T. Kearney, a management consulting firm, and a manager at McKinsey & Company. Michael received an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.


Brian Harniman

Priceline.com

Brian Harniman is Vice President, Marketing, for the Internet travel company priceline.com. He is responsible for managing all of priceline.com’s online marketing, affiliate channel development and advertising sales.

He also directed some of priceline.com’s strategic acquisitions, including Lowestfare.com, the reservation site that facilitated priceline.com’s recent expansion into the retail airline ticketing business, Rentalcars.com, and Flycheap.com.

Before priceline.com, Mr. Harniman created Travelsites.com, a popular online travel directory.

Jacques is a founder of the Analytics practice and a thought leader in pursuing selective innovation projects, while also providing direction for number of engagements on behalf of Avenue A | Razorfish clients. He has played an integral role in significantly evolving the sophistication of Avenue A | Razorfish's Analytics capabilities and architected a proprietary platform for providing robust Analytics services. Through his mantra of "data without analysis is like a school bus without yellow," he has provided actionable analyses on clients such as BellSouth, Sun, Knight Ridder, Saturn, Samsung, Philosophy Cosmetics, Reckitt-Benckiser, Northwest Airlines, adidas, and Dr Pepper. Jacques currently manages all the analytics for visa.com and is an important lynchpin in the ongoing optimization of the site.

Prior to building the Analytics practice, Jacques oversaw information architecture and development for the Portland office of Avenue A | Razorfish. In this role he helped build web sites for companies such as Timberland, Avery Labels, Digimarc, Mitisubishi Motors, CenterBeam, Mars Music, Paging Networks (Pagenet), Sales.com, IntendChange, and Ecolor (formerly Sonnetech). Jacques joined Avenue A | Razorfish in 1997.

Barry Stamos is a recognized expert in email marketing. He is a Partner with INBOX Marketing, Inc., a specialized full-service email marketing agency. Prior to joining INBOX Marketing, Barry lead multi-million dollar CRM solutions for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. Additionally, Mr. Stamos was formerly the Director of Strategy with Arthur Andersen Private Client Services and has worked in London for the American Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Embassy.

Barry holds an eBusiness Certification from the USC Marshall Graduate School of Business (California), Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Communication at Ithaca College (New York) and was a Global Scholar of International Economics & Politics at Cambridge University (Cambridge, England). He is also a dynamic industry speaker (Direct Marketing Association, Jupiter Media, and Executive Technology Club) and prolific writer, having published in magazines, newspapers, and Internet publications (ClickZ).

Mr. Stamos is currently authoring a book entitled, “Guarantee Results: Email Marketing Science & Art” to be published Q4, 2005.
